I currently own the following gear:
** New additions to my audio arsenal**
Sound Devices 888 mixer -recorder.
Shure Axient Series Digital Wireless Transmitters and Receiver.
* Sound Devices 633 field mixer -recorder.. nice and compact for docs and run and gun style productions that require dual system sound. Can also record MP3 for transcription with timecode and .WAV for primary sound at the same time!
* Sound Devices 664 Field Mixer/Recorder. Record up to twelve tracks iso. I can record .WAV for the edit and MP3 for transcription at the same time! Or the cards can mirror each other. The 664 can also jam time code to camera, slate, sync boxes, etc. It can also feed two cameras hard wired simultaneously, as well as send two more wireless hops to additional cameras! Making it ideal for multi camera interviews. The 664 is also perfect for jobs that require dual system sound.
** I do NOT go out the door without MY gear! If you are looking for an "operator" to use YOUR equipment, keep on searching!**
* I take extra care in selecting my gear. I NEVER go the cheap route! Some sound people think they are offering the same or as good as service with inferior or cheaper gear! While they may be saving money themselves and getting the same rates, it could end up costing YOU, the Producer in frustration and money when the cheap gear goes down or is not compatible with more commonly used sound gear or cameras, especially in a multi sound mixer/camera production! In our business you literally get what you pay for!
